Deko Idaman episod 11

For my final make over, i was given a kitchen to work with. Yuppp ... finally!

Kitchen is also as equally important as any other rooms in the house, especially, if you like cooking (just like me...). When i first saw this kitchen, it was a mess and it definitely need a major make-over. So, i was very thrill to start working, because there were ample to do.

Here is the kitchen before make-over:

and here is after ...

Simply clean and neat

Custom-made lamp especially for the lucky one

Wooden kitchen cabinet with white blinds

Classic yet stylish

So, how?

Deko Idaman episode 8

Bedroom, to me is the most important room in the house. It is the only space in my house where i would spend most of my time - sleeping that is!!!

So, a bedroom has to be cozy, relaxed and subtle. So, bright color is a big NO when it comes to bedroom. I mean, can you ever sleep in a red/yellow bedroom?

This week, in Deko Idaman, i have to make-over a bedroom of a home-owner in Shah Alam. Well, the bedroom is not too spacious. I have very limited space to work with, nevertheless, we executed the job really well!

Here are some pictures from the make over:

This is the bedroom before the make-over:

And this is during the make-over:

Shifting the barang-barang out of the room

Ape yang tengah dipikir budak praktikal ni..

And these are the pictures of the newly made bedroom:

Purple is my color of choice for this bedroom. Not only purple looks stylish and fresh, it also make this bedroom looks really cozy.

The white door and window panels blend really well with purple.

Who needs an expensive wallpaper when you can have this paste-on flowery wall sticker. It gives similar effect to wallpaper but at a much lower cost.

This stand lamp is simple yet stylish!

and this dark brown closet completes this bedroom set... subtle and pleasant.

Finally, pose with the make-over team and TV crew :

Ciao!

Deko Idaman episode 7

This time around, we traveled down-south - JB city. Me, the TV crew and our home make-over team were ecstatic to start the show.

This episode in JB, i get to renovate a dining room. Yes, another dining room... i know. I was very excited nevertheless. To me, dining room is as equally important as the bedroom, especially if you love food ... like myself! But unlike the 3rd episode, this time around i selected different color and concept for this family home.

Picture worth a thousand words, hence ...

The room before make-over

Men @ work

The dining room after the make-over...

I used colour lines to give the wallpaper effect

Green + Yellow = Warna Kasih Sayang

Did you know that i custom-made the table lamps for this home owner?

So, what do you think?

Deko Idaman Episode 6

After successfully renovating a living room of a condominium unit and a dining hall of a house, now, it's time to transform a living room of a family house. I am truly excited about this home make-over this time because i really want to show the audiences my idea of a family living room. In episode 1, i transformed the boring all-white living room of a bachelor pad to a simple yet practical living area. So, this time, it's a family home. Instead of using bold colours, i go for black and white - English style! The renovation works were endless and tiring, but, the end-result ... wallaaaaa... Here are some pictures after major make-over ..

Orchid is a must-haves flower at home

Can you believe it? That white table was originally brown. All i did was sprayed it with white paint. And there you have it ... a classic English table. I bet you think that table was from Laura Ashley ...

Pillows ... you can never get enough of pillows at home

Table lamps at the side ... classy!

The photo frames complete this English-inspired home deco. Til then ... Ciao

Deko Idaman episod 3

For the 3rd episode of Deko Idaman, kita buat dining room pula. As usual, we were given #$%@ to re-do the whole dining room.

Konsep interior design yang akan saya lakukan amat sesuai untuk family home, well, this home does belong to a family pun. Unlike my first design where i used bold and modern colours (turqoise / red), this time i gunakan warna yang lebih subtle.

This is the dining hall before the make-over.

... and this is after i put my magic touch to it ...

The new lamps for the dining room

Brown dominates the dining room with shades of purple lines gives a dramatic and fresh look to this house.

So, macam mane?

Interior Designs

Of late, i suke sangat interior designing. Real close friends have been asking me for ideas on how to give new look to their cribs. I pun ape lagi ...

Interior design and Fashion design ... sama ke u might ask. Well, good designers never limit themselves to only one genre. We have got to be versatile. We have to challenge ourselves to do more than what is expected of us..

After winning the Mercedes-Benz awards, i have had very valuable experiences with London-based designer Ashley Isham as well as Mercedes-Benz design center in Japan. I even manage to design my own hatch-back Mercedes Benz!!!

So, yes ... interior design is fun. That is why i agree to do DEKO IDAMAN with TV3 to gain more exposure and to see how well i can be accepted as interior designer. Visit my blog more often as i will post new pictures of the homes that i have made-over in the TV shows.
